I'm on set with the Phantom HD and a CineMag and was requested by the rental house set up technicians to set black reference through the hyperterminal using the bref command and get/set commands for the video gain. I searched the forum and see no mention of this. Is this information coming out in a whitepaper or something?
Great information, but I was concerned that I got wind of it accidentally. :?

Looks like this goes along with a recent broadcast email message to all Phantom techs on "Technical Notice regarding Black References and the Phantom HD".

The information I have just seems to go a bit further into the details of using hyper-terminal. I wasn't complaining, rather I really liked the detailed info on gathering sensor and camera temps, and the ability to up the gain to check the black reference, etc. I always want as much info on the stuff as possible, and this was definitely a step in the right direction.

Thanks!!

You can do a BREF command through the telnet commands on the camera, which acts the same as the BB on the side of the camera. We don't like publishing those instructions, but I can tell you about it further on a case by case basis. Let me know via email to: toni.lucatorto@visionresearch.com

Hi,

How do you connect through Hyperterminal? Do you just enter the IP address for the camera in question?

Thanks

Hi Dave, I don't see your email address -- please email me at toni.lucatorto@ametek.com, and I should be able to get you more information. FYI The hyperterminal is different than telnet - which is what this thread is really referring to. We don't publish the information but please shoot me an email, let me know what you are trying to accomplish and we can get started. Thank you.. -- Toni
