This upgrade is optional for all v211 cameras.

Please determine if your camera’s firmware can be upgraded in the field by checking the current firmware that is installed in your camera.  You can check the version of firmware in your v211 camera by running the PCC application currently installed on your PC and clicking on the LIVE tab, selecting CAMERA INFO and looking for the Firmware/FPGA/Kernel versions.  If you are running legacy software, select HELP followed by ABOUT.  For the v211 camera, the minimum Firmware version is 756, the minimum FPGA version is 596240, and the minimum Kernel version is 16140.

If your camera does not meet the minimum requirements, the camera cannot be upgraded in the field, please contact Vision Research Technical Support by phone at 973-692-4003 or by email at support@visionresearch.com to arrange for a firmware upgrade.

If your camera meets the minimum requirements, then upgrade your Phantom v211 camera using the procedure below

1. You will need to download and install PCC 2.2.737.0 in order to perform this upgrade.  Attempting to use an older version of PCC software may cause the firmware upgrade to fail, requiring the camera to be returned to Vision Research for service.  Please click on the following link to download PCC 2.2.737.0:

2.  Download the firmware and save the file in a convenient location on your PC.

3. Follow these instructions

Please note: While this firmware and the upgrade procedure has been thoroughly tested, upgrading firmware in a camera might render the camera inoperable, requiring return to Vision Research. Do not undergo this procedure if you require use of your camera in the next few weeks. For alternate upgrade options, please contact support@visionresearch.com.
