Phantom RCU PCC 1.3 - Release Notes -- The following are but a sampling of additions and changes have been made to the Phantom Remote Control Unit - Help (Firmware Version 4.0)

• New: RCU2 Hardware Compatibility -- RCU Firmware Version 4.0 will support the new RCU2 hardware.

• New: Character Based Text Fields -- An RCU end-user now has the capability to input or edit character based text fields.

• New: Individual Cine Deletion -- An end-user can now delete individual cines from the attached Phantom camera.

• Change: Trigger Button Functionality -- The RCU’s trigger button can now be used in any menu to begin a recording when waiting for pre-trigger. In run/stop mode, the button is used as a run/stop button.

• New: Jog Wheel Functionality -- Holding the video button and scrolling with the inner jog-wheel will zoom video in and out.

• New: Status Information -- When pressing the Video button, the video state is now indicated in the status bar.

Phantom Camera Control Software PCC v1.3 - Release Notes

The following are but a few of the changes that have been made to the Phantom (PCC) Camera Control Application (Software Version 1.3.697.0), including:

• New: Image Displaying System -- The new image displaying system includes; all zoom levels are available for all images sizes, and improvements to the fit/actual size buttons.

• New: Persistent Cine Directory -- The Browse, Open, and Save dialogue windows will remember the last directory used between sessions,separate from the directories used for .stg, cine measurements, adjustments, and Nucleus files.

• Change: STG (Serial Tag Number File) Load Process -- The STG loading time has been improved.

• Change: Image Tools Dialogue Window -- The Image Tools dialogue window has been redesigned to use as little space as possible. Furthermore, the Image Tools display window will include a scroll bar, located on the right side of the window, if the monitor display is set to a resolution of 1280 x 1024 or smaller.

Phantom CineStation® 10Gb Ethernet Installation Recommendations

This document contains Vision Research's recommendations on how to install the Phantom CineStation® 10Gb Ethernet link.

The 10Gb Ethernet option for the Phantom CineStation allows for greatly increased Cine playback and save speeds. It is important to note that to maximize your save time, in addition to installing the 10 Gb link on the PC end, the entire system must be considered.

Performing a Camera Firmware Update

This document will provide a step by step procedure for performing an update to the firmware in a Phantom camera.

Document revision: 5.

Here are several recommendations from our technicians to ensure that you have a successful firmware upgrade:

• You should never do a firmware upgrade when running on battery power. Ensure the camera is connected to AC power.

• You should perform the upgrade using Phantom version 692 or PCC version 692 or higher. If you do not have version 692 or higher please contact Vision Research.

• If for some reason the firmware upgrade fails, the camera will likely need to be returned to Vision Research for service.

• For v710 cameras, if your camera’s firmware is 670 or less, the camera needs to be returned to have the camera calibrated along with the firmware upgrade. Please contact support@visionresearch.com to arrange for an RMA.

CineMag Interface Plate Replacement

This document describes how to replace the CineMag interface pin array (MagMate connector) on compatible cameras. A spare ships with the Phantom Flex, and spares are available for other compatible cameras under VRI part number: VRI-2GA1112.
