Hi,

In my dark images using the MIRO ex4, I get a vertical band of bright pixels on the left corner of every image at varying resolutions.

I understand that the CSR reduces this effect, and have seen it do so. However, what is the reason for these bands. Is this a unavoidable problem without CSR being activated.

Also is the CSR calibration a software or hardware fix. Does it subtract the offset from every other image in software, or does it vary the gain on the hardware electronics to reduce the noise.

I am interested in this phenomena because I am tracking spots created by a microlens array and the vertical band has gray levels almost equal to the spot gray levels, therefore, throwing off my tracking algorithm, even when i threshold.

Thanks
